Volunteer Role Description
Young Alumni Development Councils
The Young Alumni Development Councils will train, educate, and cultivate a cadre of young alumni leaders for greater leadership roles within the university. The councils are comprised of Trinity and Engineering alumni who graduated within the last fourteen years. There are currently six councils: New York (launched June 1999), Boston (June 2001), San Francisco (August 2002), Los Angeles (May 2003), Washington, D.C. (June 2003), and Atlanta (May 2005).
Development Council Members are asked to serve on their respective Councils through their 15th reunion. Responsibilities include:
- Giving a leadership gift of at least $1,000 to the Annual Fund for each year of membership
- Assisting in the identification, cultivation, and solicitation of young alumni leadership prospects on behalf of the Annual Fund
- Creating, implementing and evaluating a solicitation strategy for young alumni leadership prospects
- Attending regional and campus events which promote the Annual Fund, facilitate alumni networking, and promote continued engagement with the university
- Hosting one young alumni cultivation event in order to assist with regional Annual Fund gift efforts
